Down at the Brook
Gibbin's Brook, near Sellindge, is one of only three acid wetlands left in Kent and is home to some very rare widlife. It is opne to the public to enjoy and the WCCP has created a walking trail around the site.
Konik horses are grazing Gibbin's Brook to control the spread of shrubs and trees. The WCCP would like to hear from people interested in "lookering" (watching over) the Konik Horses at Gibbin's Brook. Training and support will be provided.
A conversation day to carry out practical work to converse wildlife and maintain footpaths will be held every month throughout the winter. For further information contact the WCCP on (01303 274806).
