Samphire Hoe

By Car - Access to Samphire Hoe is via a tunnel through the cliffs.  You can reach the tunnel from the A20 driving from Dover to Folkestone, Samphire Hoe is signposted.

On Foot or by Bicycle - The cliff top footpath (North Downs Way) and a cycle track (Sustrans NCN Route 2) pass the tunnel entrance providing easy access.

By Bus - 61 to Aycliffe, then on foot.

Opening Times - 7am until dusk every day

Parking - Pay and Display

Tea Kiosk - Open Saturdays and Sundays and every day, from Easter to September.  Tel: 01304 225688.

"Helping the Hoe"

There is plenty to do at the Hoe which includes path clearing, electric fence work and erosion control.  For more information phone Paul Holt from the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership on 01304 225649.

Here are the dates for conservational practical work at Samphire Hoe: 26th August, 9th September, 12th September, 23rd September, 10th October, 20th October, 7th November and the 1st December.

There will also be conservational work in 2011 on the following dates: 16th January, 9th February, 13th February, 6th March and the 10th March.
