Dour to Downs Festival - High Meadow bug hunt

Come and uncover the tiny wonders of High Meadow at this morning drop in session. 

We'll supply all that you need to catch and identify the minibeasts that call the chalk grassland their home. 

 

Also join for the afternoon river dipping session at the River Dour Centre to get a Dour to Downs Certificate and prize! 

 

No booking required. 

Meeting point: High Meadow at the end of Noah's Ark Road 

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Children must be accompanied at all times.

Event Location - High Meadow

High Meadow Local Nature Reserve is an area of sloping chalk grassland and scrub grazed by Exmoor ponies, which rises above Buckland hospital in Dover. From the eastern end there are views of Dover Castle, the English Channel and the French coast.

The site is easily accessible on foot from Dover town centre and is only a ten-minute walk from Dover Priory train station. The site is managed on behalf of Dover Town Council.
