Free Wildlife Walk at Betteshanger Country Park

Join Ranger Helena from White Cliffs Countryside Partnership and Ranger Sam from Bird Wise East Kent on a gentle spring walk around Betteshanger Country Park.
We will be looking out for birds and other wildlife. This walk is suitable for all the family, including beginners looking to learn more about their local birds and wildlife.
All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
It is free to attend but spaces on the walk are limited so please book your space.Bring binoculars if you have them.
The walk will last approximately 2 hours.
Meeting point:
Betteshanger Park, Sandwich Road, Deal, CT14 0BF.
Meet under the walkway roof, between the cycle shop and mining museum entrances.

Parking:
Pay on at a kiosk on exit (card & coins). ANPR parking is in use.
There is a 20-minute grace period for drop off / pick up.

1 – 2 hours £3.50
2 – 3 hours £4.50
3 + hours £5.50
You can enter Betteshanger on foot or by bicycle for free.
Blue Badge holders are exempt from parking charges but are required to take their badge and registration number to a member of Betteshanger staff at Reception.
Dogs:
Well behaved dogs are welcome on the guided walk, but they must be kept on a lead throughout.
Facilities:
Toilet and café facilities are available in the park, including disabled toilets.
Accessibility:
The paths are largely flat but there may be some minor incline and decline, and some uneven ground. Very limited sitting opportunities during the walk.
Weather & Clothing:
Please wear appropriate clothing for the day’s weather: ensure you bring adequate layers if the weather is chilly, suncream and cover if it is sunny, and bring waterproofs for the everchanging British weather.
Please wear sturdy, sensible shoes.
Bring water if needed.
