Help protect our beautiful coastline by joining us for a community litter pick at Greatstone Dunes as part of the Great British Beach Clean Week.
Together with the Romney Marsh Litter Picking Watch, we’ll be clearing rubbish from the dunes and beach to help wildlife and keep the area looking its best.
This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact, meet others who care about the environment, and enjoy some time outdoors.

Event Location - Greatstone Dunes
Greatstone Dunes run parallel to the coastline of Greatstone near New Romney and are home to a wide range of plants and animals that have adapted to the harsh conditions of the sand dune system.
Management of the site involves removal of invasive plant species such as yucca, red valerian and Japanese rose, which threaten the native plant species that make the dunes a part of the Dungeness to Pett Level Special Area of Conservation and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The dunes form part of the England Coast Path which links with Dungeness National Nature Reserve to the south. Greatstone Dunes is managed by Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership on behalf of Folkestone and Hythe District Council.
